Protecting your peace and knowing you have done your best.

Protecting your peace and knowing you have done your best.

Self-care begins with taking care of yourself first. Sometimes, when you reach out to help others, you must also protect your own mental and emotional well-being in the process.

Understand that when you have genuinely tried to support someone and they do not respond to your efforts, it does not mean you failed. You have done your best and fulfilled your responsibility. We do not have the power to change others, and pushing too hard can eventually leave us emotionally drained and struggling ourselves.

Protecting your peace is not selfish — it is necessary. First and foremost, protect your mental health, because you cannot pour from an empty cup. Sometimes, letting go is the best thing you can do in order to protect your sanity.

This is especially true when someone doesn't want your help or appreciate your concern.

You have to set a boundary for yourself and know you have done your duty to the best of your ability.

Finally, I also accepted the fact that many are not interested in accountability. We can't fix anyone. Let go and let God.
