Digital Cleansing is Self Care

Digital Cleansing Is Self-Care

For the past few weeks, I have been intentionally practicing digital cleansing, and I am loving it.

Sometimes stepping away from the constant flow of information gives you an entirely new perspective. We are inundated every day with social media, emails, notifications, news, opinions, videos, and endless content. Before we realize it, our minds can become overloaded with information that isn't necessarily helping us grow.

Digital self-care doesn't mean disappearing from technology. For me, it means becoming more intentional about what I consume, how much I consume, and what deserves access to my attention.

Unfollow what drains you. Turn off unnecessary notifications. Take breaks from scrolling. Be selective about the information you allow into your mental space. Replace some screen time with reading, walking, prayer, meditation, conversation, or simply enjoying silence.
Everything doesn't require your attention.

Sometimes clearing your digital space creates room to hear your own thoughts again.

Protecting your peace also means protecting what you allow into your mind.
